Synopsis:
Episode 1 - Secret of the Dragon Ball - Bulma's search for five more Dragon Balls leads her to a remote valley and to Goku, who is in possession of one of the balls. The two strangers begin their relationship with Goku's naivete getting on Bulma's nerves, but after Goku saves Bulma's life, they join forces in search of the remaining four Dragon Balls.
Episode 2 - The Emperor's Quest - Without realizing where they are, Bulma and Goku camp near the Valley of the Bones, a foreboding land where one of the Dragon Balls is believed to lie hidden. Emperor Pilaf dispatches his henchmen to recover the ball, but they and Goku run into each other, and a pack of wolves.
Episode 3 - The Nimbus Cloud of Roshi - Bulma and Goku save the life of a sea turtle from Kahrack, and return the turtle to the sea. There, they meet the turtle's greateful friend, Master Roshi, a wise old martial arts master, who gives Bulma a Dragon Ball, and Goku a magical flying cloud, which can only be ridden by someone who is pure of heart.
Episdoe 4 - Oolong the Terrible - Bulma and Goku's search for the Dragon Balls takes them to a remote valley where they encounter Oolong, a shape-changing monster who is terrorizing a village. They are promised a Dragon Ball by the local townspeople if they can defeat the fierce monster. But the battle never materializes as Goku discovers that Oolong is really a shape-changing coward who real form is a pig.
Episode 5 - Yamcha the Desert Bandit - Oolong joins Bulma and Goku as they travel to the Diable Desert and brave the spirits of the desert in search of a Dragon Ball. There, deep in the barren land, they encounter and battle Yamcha, a fierce warrior, and Puar, his shape-changing sidekick.
Episode 6 - Keep an Eye on the Dragon Balls - While Bulma, Goku, and Oolong recover from the ordear of acquiring fire Dragon Balls, Yamcha and Puar try to steal them out from under their noses so that Yamcha can obtain his own grandiose goal. But they're not the only ones after the Dragon Balls! Emperor Pilaf's henchmen are closing in as well. In the meantime, Oolong drugs Goku and Bulma for his own devious purposes.
Episode 7 - The Ox-King on Fire Mountain - Bulma and Goku's search for the Dragon Balls takes them high up to the top of Fire Mountain where they meet Ox-King, a fierce and mighty king whose castle is surrounded by a mountain of fire. Goku battles Ox-King until they discover that Master Roshi trained both Goku's grandpa and Ox-King. Then they join forces to try and find Master Roshi, as only he has the power to put out such a ravaging fire. But with the battle-over, Goku has a whole new set of problems; Chi-Chi, Ox-King's daughter, is in love with him!
Episode 8 - The Kamehameha Wave - Master Roshi, who appears to be a wise but feeble old man, reveals that he is a master of the 'Kamehameha,' an ancient and formidable force. The power, which he channels through his hands, creates a wave of termendous destruction that can topple mountains. But if it's not used carefully it can be fatal. He arrives to put out the fire, but in doing so he accidentally destroys the mountain and Ox-King's castle in the process. Oops. At least Goku and Bulma recover the Dragon Ball out of the Castle's rubble.
Episode 9 - Boss Rabbit's Magic Touch - Bulma and Goku's search takes them to a remote village that is being terrorized by a gang of Hell's Angels with bunny ears. They apparently dress like that because the leader of the sect has the strange and mysterious ability to turn his victims into giant carrots. Just when things look bleak for Bulma and Goku, Yamcha and Puar come to the rescue, but with their own scheme in mind.
Episode 10 - The Dragon Balls are Stolen - Emperor Pilaf's Giant Warrior Robot takes the Dragon Balls away from Bulma. Goku goes after the robot, but instead of battling him, Goku teachs him about right and wrong. However, its too late to recover the Dragon Balls which are already in the Emperor's possesion. Goku and Bulma are joined by Yamcha and Puar and together they go after the Dragon Balls, only to be captured by Emperor Pilaf's forces.
Episode 11 - The Penalty is Pinball - With Goku, Bulma, Yamcha and Puar imprisoned, no one can stop Emperor Pilaf from combining the seven Dragon Balls and summoning forth the Dragon and expanding his reign of terror to include the entire world! Goku and the others try everything and anything they can in a series of impossible escape attempts, but the prison is just too strong.
Episode 12 - A Wish to the Eternal Dragon - Just as Emperor Pilaf is about to make a wish, Goku leads the others in a successful escape. They arrive just in time to prevent Pilaf from seizing control of the world, but they can't stop the greedy Oolong from requesting his own wish, and that gets them all into big trouble. And, as a result of Oolong's wish, the Dragon Balls are once again spread across the face of the Earth.
Episode 13 - The Legend of Goku - Goku is exposed to a full moon and transformed into a huge gorilla and goes on a rampage, attacking friends and foes alike. Bulma, Yamcha and Puar must try to return Goku to his normal self without hurting him and avoid Pilaf's army while they're doing it. As they successfully 'save' Goku, they discover that his 'curse' is really the key to his mysterious origin.
Curse of the Blood Rubies - Deep within the core of the Earth a fire rages. Within the heart of this fire dwells the Eternal Dragon, A magical beast of limitless power that can be summoned from his fiery lair only when the seven magic Dragon Balls - now scattered over the face of the Earth - are found and brought together. When the seven magic Dragon Balls are united, the eternal Dragon will appear before the adventurer who grought them together and grant that person a single wish. Then, once more the balls will be scattered to the four winds, and the dragon beast will return to his fiery lair until another brave or foolish soul rediscovers the balls and tries to bring them together again.
